Ireland Travel Report

27.12.2018 - Arrival Day:

This day does not really count so we only went to the airport at 6 p.m. and started around 8 p.m. We landed at 10.30 p.m. after a short flight because we went away from Munich. The only thing we could see through our flight was all the lights of the big cities. So we needed to stay patient to see the green island. After we made it through the security check and got our luggage's we called our uber which was a service of our hotel and 20 min later we finally arrived at our cute Castle Hotel!

28.12.2018 - City Day:

So on this day went into Dublin and checked it out. There are so many sightseeing spots, you may need more days when you want to see everything.

We went to St. Patricks Park (it is so beautiful) and also looked at some

churches. Then (of course) we had a coffee break at Starbucks😇. Afterward, we went back to our hotel and refreshed for the evening, which we spent at Temple Bar.

29.12.2018 - Glendalough Tour:

On this day we made our first tour outside of the city. We went to Glendalough, Roundwood Blake Lake and the stunning nature at the Wicklow Mountains (even though it was foggy it was so beautiful). We booked the tour already at home and traveled around with a bus. This was the first time we were witnesses of the suddenly changing weather there.

30.12.2018 - Galway and Cliffs of Moher:

This was our second tour day and we went to the famous Cliffs of Moher and Galway. Unfortunately, we had not so much luck with the weather at the cliffs but hey we were not made of candy😂. At Galway, we also had a short tour and I think it is a really charming city. Again we drove around with a bus and saw so much of the Irland. If you are a nature lover (like me) you will love it there and I think in spring and summer it must be so stunning! A big bonus was our tour guide which was hilarious! 😂 On-road I also had my first original Irish coffee which was gooooood😍.

31.12.2018 - New Years Eve + 01.01.2019 Last Day:

On this day we did not so much, we slept in and then looked at the other things in the city. In the evening we had dinner at our hotel which was sooo good. Around half-past 11 we went again to the city and watched a little firework. So many buildings were covered in different lights.✨

We had begun the new year like most people with sleeping in - again. After a late breakfast, we got ready and went souvenirs shopping for our family and friends. Also, we had a Starbucks stop - how could it be different? Then we discovered St. Stephen´s Green.

02.01.2019 - Returning Day:

This was our departure day, so after our last breakfast, we packed our suitcases and went to the airport. There we had one last Starbucks coffee and had our first flight to Copenhagen. We had a four-hour stay and I was so glad that there was free WIFI, so I could watch NETFLIX :D

Late afternoon our second and last flight started. After a one-hour shaky flight, we finally landed in Munich again. I was really tired and only wanted to sleep but that was not the end of the day because my suitcase did not come with me!😱 It went lost between our flight from Dublin to Copenhagen! I was so upset because all of my things were in there! But after a few nerve-wracking days, it finally came back to me, the airline found it and I was sooo happy.

To finish this report: Irland is a must seen country the same goes for Dublin but I would recommend another season like spring or summer and only direct flights :D
